While Karl's albums have become increasingly produced with overdubs and post-production his band with Cynthia Abraham, Tony Paeleman and the two guitarists Pierre Perchaud and Federico Casagrande, together since 2017, present the songs through a different lens. Karl has surrounded himself with a versatile group of musicians that have roots in jazz improvisation, allowing them the freedom to live in the moment on stage, with the vast sonic palette of modern rock and pop music.
